First Ever "Climate Neutral" T-Shirts and Hoodies
November 26, 2007 08:33 AM - , Greenloop Fashions

EarthPositive apparel is a good example of taking it to the next level. Yes, they are just basics likely to be used for promotional means (think band t-shirts and convention give aways) and not something we are going to see gracing the runways of any fashion week...ever, but given the mainstream appetite for t-shirts and hoodies, I think these guys are on the right track. Yes, cutting back on promotional items that no one really ever wears anyway (except perhaps to paint in or clean house) is ultimately where we need to go, but in the mean time, this is a step in the right direction. Here's what they have to say.

Portland Fashion Week - Day 4 and 5 Retrospective
October 25, 2007 08:46 AM - Victoria, Greenloop Fashions

The past two days in Portland have been a flurry of fabric and fun. From local style icons to the only European collection at Portland Fashion Week, this has been a very enjoyable 48 hours. Tuesday was host to "The Collections" - a grouping of Portland designers, most of which have collaborated together or been shown side-by-side before. Wednesday was a mix of local and "foreign" fashions, including brands from the UK and our friend to the south (and location of my apartment), San Francisco.

Rave Reviews: Stripes and Style Go Hand-in-Hand
September 25, 2007 08:36 AM - Victoria E, Greenloop Fashions

T-shirts are out and sweaters are in! Fall brings a host of fashion options, but if you are a guy, all you want is to be look good - no muss, no fuss. Eden's Reversible Shadow Crew Neck Sweater is one of the only additions your wardrobe will need this season. Featuring classic fit and a seamless blend of punk and preppy styles, this long-sleeve sweater was made in Peru from 100% cotton, has a mélange yarn dye stripe, thumbholes in the cuffs (when was the last time you remembered to bring you gloves anyway?), and reverses to solid black (perfect for those dressier offices and business meetings). Got a hot date? Pair this stripped number with your favorite jeans and a stylish military-style jacket and you won't be going home alone (wink wink).

Rave Reviews: Green ... Period.
September 13, 2007 08:56 AM - , Greenloop Fashions

That's how we feel about how we all need to live. Greenloop Project "green." is an awareness outreach and fund raising campaign designed to spread the "green" word and raise funds for hard working, environmental, non-profit groups. The project begins with a custom bracelet and necklace designed by and available exclusively at Greenloop.

Rave Reviews: Warm, Stylish, And Versatile
September 3, 2007 07:59 AM - Victoria E, Greenloop Fashions

The classic army-style jacket has been in style for years, and it looks like that won't be changing anytime soon. Loomstate's Organic Cotton Men's Winter Army Jacket has been added to the Greenloop site and while being a great modern version of this vintage style, it also has a few updates that make this one of the best coats of the season.

Vegetables Make Great Colors
August 30, 2007 08:00 AM - Victoria E, Greenloop Fashions

Layering season (a.k.a autumn) is just around the corner, so you can imagine just how amped I was when the new colors of Stewart+Brown's Organic Cotton Lengthened Tee came in. Already having five different colors on this uniquely cute top in my closet, I've found that is always room for more.

Rave Reviews: Show Some Sun Love
August 27, 2007 11:07 AM - , Greenloop Fashions

With summer slowly coming to a close, I find it ironic that some of the best t-shirts are now hitting the stores. One of those t-shirts happens to be Zooey and Love & Eight's Organic Cotton Solar Powered Tee. These two established brands have teamed up for a "green project" to raise awareness about global warming and raise funds for the environmental group Healthy World, Healthy Child - a Los Angeles-based non-profit "dedicated to protecting the health and well being of children from harmful environmental exposures."

Rave Reviews: Time for Your Weekly Cleansing Ritual
August 25, 2007 12:40 PM - , Greenloop Fashions

With all the great summer sales and adventures, I'm finding my wallet to be lighter than ever. Indulging in a professional massage sounds like fun, but it's just not in the cards these days (because they are maxed out). My skin, wallet, and psyche have all been saved thanks to the Pangea Organics Facial Mask.
