American Senators on Svalbard

"Recently I had the pleasure of guiding a prestigious delegation of American senators who visited Svalbard to learn about climate change in the Arctic. In terms of priority, climate cannot measure up to the war against terror or the economy, but on Svalbard the senators confirmed that climate issues are being taken seriously and that there is increasing domestic pressure to change the course of American climate policy," writes CICERO Director Pål Prestrud.
