Environmental strategy needs to be adopted by businesses to impact consumer behaviours

Becoming a green and sustainable economy through lowering carbon footprints, recycling and using environmentally friendly materials are a few of the messages broadcasted to consumers in response to the ever increasing concern of global warming and the impact consumer behaviour is having on the planet. It has been suggested that businesses need to take responsibility and respond to this by providing their consumers with products that have reduced environmental impacts.

HP, a global corporation designing technological devices to their consumers, wholly integrates environmental considerations into business strategy due to the belief that this results in better products. HP prides themselves on managing facilities and conducting business activities to minimize environmental impacts and promote the welfare and safety of employees and customers.

The Senior Industrial Designer from HP will be joining an exceptional line up of Designers and Sustainability Professionals at the LCA Sustainable Product Design Summit on 26-27 October, in Miami USA. These industry professionals will address how to reduce social & environmental impacts through product design in key areas of the life cycle.

Break out sessions for the consumer goods market, electronic groups and industrial goods will aim to address and identify the changing trends businesses face with regards to sustainability. These sessions will examine the entire product life cycle and the importance of integrating trends into strategies to feed through to consumers.

American Business Conferences will be hosting the LCA Sustainable Product Design Summit in Miami, USA. This is the ninth in the series of sustainability summits.
