Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom Debuts Wild Cam with 24/7 View of Eagles Nest

OMAHA, Neb. -- A bird’s-eye view into the life of America’s symbol – the bald eagle – is the newest feature on, the online home of pioneering wildlife and adventure program Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom.

The “Wild Cam” offers a 24/7 view of a bald eagle nest in Colorado, allowing viewers to watch a family of eagles as the parents feed and nurture their hatchlings as they grow and eventually take wing themselves.

“Since its beginning 50 years ago, Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom has connected viewers with wildlife and nature. The Wild Cam is in keeping with that tradition, allowing viewers a real-time look at the life of the American bald eagle,” said Jim Fowler, renowned naturalist and co-host of the original Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom.

Mutual of Omaha’s yearlong celebration of Wild Kingdom’s 50th anniversary includes a new webisode series, an online contest to select a “Wild Guide” who will be featured in the webisodes and an innovative free iPhone app, My Wild Kingdom, that allows users to place virtual wildlife in their photos and videos. An all-new is the hub for all that is new and exciting in the Wild Kingdom, Fowler said.
