Toxic Free Talk Radio Celebrates Rachel Carson, Author of Silent Spring, for Earth Day

Clearwater, FL April 21, 2014 — Rachel Carson, author of the classic book Silent Spring, will be honored by Toxic Free Talk Radio on Earth Day, with the appearance of Carson's biographer Linda Lear and the former Director of the Rachel Carson Institute, Patricia DeMarco.

"I wanted to do a show about Rachel Carson because she was the first to write about the dangers of toxic chemicals to the environment," said Debra Lynn Dadd, host of Toxic Free Talk Radio, and author of Toxic Free. How to Protect Your Health and Home from the Chemicals That Are Making You Sick. "We often think of things like saving energy and recycling on Earth Day, but toxic chemicals in the products we use every day damage the Earth and all living things most of all."

"Rachel Carson showed us more than fifty years ago that we need to reduce the use of toxic chemicals in daily life, to protect both our own health and the environment," said Dadd. "We still have a ways to go."

This is why Dadd hosts Toxic Free Talk Radio every weekday. She interviews those who are steadfastly working to reduce our exposures to toxic chemicals, reverse their health and environmental effects, and explore alternatives for living without toxic substances. Earth Day is the one year anniversary of the show. More than 150 past shows are archived and available for listening.

Toxic Free Talk Radio airs live most weekdays at 12 noon eastern. The Rachel Carson Earth Day show will air live on Tuesday, April 22 at 12 noon eastern, and then will be available in the archives.
