Twenty Young Eco-Heroes Receive Awards for Exceptional Global Environmental Campaigns

SAN FRANCISCO, On Saturday October 24, 2015 – Environmental activism is getting a boost from kid power.  Action for Nature (AFN) will recognize 20  extraordinary International Young Eco-Heroes at their 13th Consecutive Awards celebration  from 2:00-5:00 PM at the Seven Hills Conference Center, on the campus of San Francisco State University. 


This event celebrates the activism of youth.   Seven of these extraordinary children are from outside the United States, 2 from Africa, 1 from South Korea, 1 from India, 1 from the UAE, 1 from Australia and 1 from New Zealand.  Thirteen other young eco-heroes are from the United States (California, New Mexico, Florida, Texas, Connecticut and Washington DC).


Achievements of this year’s winners range from advocating for wildlife, to inventions, to water way clean up, working to increase habitat and survival opportunities for birds and sea turtles, and signage for the visually impaired to help them enjoy Nature. 


This is the 13th consecutive year AFN is recognizing inspirational youth from around the globe helping to create a better future for our planet by taking actions to address tough environmental problems.
