Prairie Biotic Research Small Grants Increase in Size.

Prairie Biotic Research (PBR) is an all-volunteer, scientific public charity.  It fosters basic field biological research in U. S. prairies and savannas.  Over the past 16 years, Prairie Biotic Research has funded 275 grants totaling $264,236 to researchers in 37 states through their annual, competitive Small Grants Program.  More than half of their grants have funded graduate students.  PBR funds only individuals, not organizations, agencies or universities.  They decided to raise the maximum grant from $1,000 to $1500.  This grant process opens in October 2017, when materials will appear on their website relating to the application process.  Please publicize this opportunity.

Prairie Biotic Research can be only as successful in this effort as they are in raising the money that is granted away.  Consider supporting PBR’s work.  Gifts can be made through their website at www.prairiebioticresearch.org.
