Web Developer

We're looking for a front-end guru that is passionate about crafting great user experiences, and that has the vision and creativity to design innovative and simple solutions to complex user problems. Initially, you will be refining the UI for ourcurrent site and be involved in usability testing.

This is a hands-on role, and we need someone with a strong background in design that can not only visualize effective UI solutions to business problems, but that can also carry those solutions through prototyping, design, implementation, and user testing.

The ideal candidate will have the following background.
Required:
• Expert command of xhtml and CSS; able to write W3C compliant code
• Passionate about user experience, with a high level of user empathy
• Strong background in user centered design theory and practices
• Strong visual design skills and command of tools (Photoshop, etc)
• AJAX; Know when (and when not to!) use, and be able to implement across multiple browsers
• Highly creative; must be able to design innovative and intuitive solutions to complex business and usability problems
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision in a highly agile, iterative environment
• Sense of humor
• Desire to make a difference
• Online or digital portfolio

Desired:
• Ruby on Rails experience
• Interest in social interaction design, as well in human nature/sociology/psychology
• Experience interacting with user and facilitating usability tests
• Familiarity with testing best practices (A/B split, multivariate)
• Degree in design, human computer interaction, computer science, or equivalent experience

Web Designer

We are looking for a part-time creative and web-savvy graphic artist. The candidate must have a sharp eye for detail and concept development. Ongoing projects include web site maintenance and development of the intranet and extranet, production of datasheets and other collateral materials based on existing templates, and production of email campaign content. You must be able to work well within a team of creative marketing professionals, contribute to a variety of projects, manage changing deadlines, work on multiple projects, and have impeccable attention to detail and quality standards. We are Windows-based and all tools will be provided.

Requirements
The successful candidate must have a thorough working knowledge of Adobe CS2 versions of
• InDesign
• Illustrator
• PhotoShop
• Acrobat.
Adobe Dreamweaver mastery is also required and knowledge of ColdFusion will be considered a plus. Microsoft Office experience is also required.
