Jay Leno To Own First Lithium Powered Car in US

The inaugural "R-Car", Number 001, has found a new home with Tonight Show host and car aficionado Jay Leno.<

Five alternative energy companies -- Hybrid Technologies Inc., R-Electric Car Co., Global Hybrid Corp., Solium Power Corp., and WhistlerTel -- developers of Lithium I-Cell(TM)-powered and VoIP products announced that the inaugural "R-Car", Number 001, has found a new home with Tonight Show host and car aficionado Jay Leno.


The R-Car is the flagship vehicle in Hybrid Technologies' slate of pure electric passenger vehicles. The vehicle is a high performance automobile yet is powered by an entirely emission-free, clean energy, lithium power source, the I-Cell(TM) as developed by Hybrid Technologies. The "R-Car" delivers speeds of up to 100 miles per hour utilizing a lithium power system. The world's first truly drivable completely zero emission vehicle is proudly produced in the United States of America.

Also, a recent press item announced a joint agreement between Hybrid Technologies Inc. and the California Highway Patrol to produce an honoree Chopper to memorialize the CHP's fallen officers. The Chopper will be built using the lithium I-Cell(TM) system developed by Chaz Haba. The CHP honored Hybrid Technologies in a special ceremony on April 5 in Santa Fe Springs, California.
