EarthNews Radio: Urban Age Magazine

Urban Age magazine started 15 years ago to report on, among other things, the environmental breakthroughs happening in cities around the world.

Jerry Kay spoke to Gordon Felder, Editor-in-Chief of Urban Age:

Felder says that readers of the magazine want to seek out wisdom rather than passively receive it. Felder says that cities worldwide are taking steps for sustainable development that should be coming from the federal level in the US or international organizations. For instance, Chicago was the first city to use hydrogen-fueled buses.

Cities also have initiatives where abandoned bungalows are retrofitted with technology to show how structures can use green technology to improve the energy efficiency of structures.
