Biofriendly's Green Plus Selected by Direct Fuels for Low Emission Diesel Formulation in Texas

MONROVIA, California — Biofriendly Corporation announced today that its Green Plus diesel fuel enhancer has been selected by Direct Fuels to formulate Texas Low Emission Diesel (TxLED). Direct Fuels is one of north Texas' largest independent regional fuel distributors.

"We evaluated Biofriendly's Green Plus, and found it to be an extremely cost-effective solution for meeting TxLED requirements," said Gary Henson, Terminal Manager at Direct Fuels. "Green Plus is also easy to implement and as an approved Alternative Formulation, we are now ready to serve our customers throughout North Texas," he added.

"We're delighted to have been selected by Direct Fuels," said Jim D'Arezzo, Senior Vice-president of Sales and Marketing at Biofriendly. "Direct Fuels will be providing thousands of barrels per day of TxLED fuel to customers throughout Northern Texas. We're pleased to be helping the state reduce pollution."

Green Plus has been approved by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) as an emission reduction solution for both on-road and off-road use. This means that on-road trucks, off-road construction equipment, school buses, locomotives, and marine vessels that use diesel fuel in the 110 counties in Texas designated by the U.S. EPA as non-attainment areas (areas which have consistently surpassed the ozone and other air pollution levels) may use fuel treated with Green Plus to meet the new Texas Low Emission Diesel (TxLED) law that goes into effect October 1.

About Biofriendly Corporation and Green Plus: Under development for over 10 years, Green Plus is a product that employs nanotechnology (working at the molecular level) to achieve a combination of reduced emissions and improved fuel economy. Green Plus is added in very small quantities to fuel in order to create a more complete, cooler and more linear burn. The product has undergone rigorous testing in the United States and Europe, and has over 150 million miles of on-road/on-ocean use. Green Plus is now available commercially worldwide.
