SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - Corning Inc <GLW.N> said on Wednesday it expects 2008 capital expenditures ranging from $1.5 billion to $1.7 billion as the company prepares to meet growing demand for large flat-panel televisions.
The expenditures, higher than in 2007, include $400 million for a new production facility in Japan. Corning said it expects expenditures in its display business to range from $800 million to $1 billion.
