TOKYO (Reuters) - Japan's Hitachi Ltd <6501.T> said on Friday it plans to buy Fujitsu Ltd's <6702.T> 4.6 percent stake in their plasma panel joint venture to make it a wholly owned unit on April 1.
Hitachi also said it aims to sell 2.1 million units of LCD and plasma televisions in the year starting in April and 3.6 million units in the 2010/11 business year.
