BRUSSELS (Reuters) - The European Commission said it would announce on Friday its decision whether to accept or reject Slovakia's plan allocating carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions rights to industry for 2008-2012.
The decision will be announced at 1100 GMT (6:00 a.m. ET), the European Union executive said in a statement on Thursday.
The Commission must approve member states' so-called national allocation plans, the cornerstone of the bloc's emissions trading scheme, before they can enter force.
