SSE gets planning consent for Scottish wind farm

LONDON (Reuters) - Britain's Scottish and Southern Energy said on Monday it had been granted planning permission to develop a 40 megawatt wind farm at Achany in Sutherland, Scotland.

Scottish and Southern said construction work was expected to start next year and that the wind farm scheduled to be commissioned in 2010.

Its development will require around $111.5 million of investment, it added.
