The stamps are mini-CDs that fit into exquisitely decorated self-adhesive envelopes. When affixed to a larger envelop, the CD stamp can be used as postage. "Bhutan was "green" long before most of us ever heard of the term," says Frances Todd Stewart, president of Creative Products Intl the Pittsburgh company that developed the stamps.

"The country's deep commitment to environmental and cultural preservation is recognized globally." Bhutan plans to continue its environmental, cultural and economic sustainability with the sale of this computer-age stamp, which is the world's first to feature a documentary of a country.

"Bhutan is rich in colorful traditions and natural beauty, and these stamps tell the country's unmatched story," says Stewart. The CD-stamp allows buyers to take a virtual visit to the mystical country of Bhutan and support its decades-long environmental sustainability.
