FRANKFURT (Reuters) - Shares in RWE AG <RWEG.DE> rose 2 percent on Thursday and traders cited market talk that Permira <PERM.UL>, Blackstone <BX.N> and Warren Buffett were interested in the German utility.
"There is the rumor that Permira, Blackstone and Buffett are jointly bidding for RWE," one trader said.
RWE declined to comment.
RWE shares were up 2.1 percent at 83.34 euros at 1105 GMT, while German peer E.ON <EONG.DE> was also up 1.8 percent at 135 euros. Germany's DAX index <.GDAXI> was up 0.2 percent.
