How difficult is it to provide a backyard habitat for wildlife?

He says it's not difficult, and that most people already have some of the necessary attributes in their yards. Most people having plantings that provide food and shelter for wildlife.


Most people do lack a water source, and that would be all that would be needed to be added to meet the National Wildlife Federation's backyard program minimum standard.


About 40,000 people already participate in the backyard program, and those numbers are increasing. Mizejewski says people are starting to miss seeing wildlife, giving them the motivation to participate in the program.
