EarthNews Radio: Organic Consumers Association

Is the organic-label body-care product you're using really organic? The best way to know for sure is to simply look at the labels.

Jerry Kay spoke with Ronnie Cummins of the Organic Consumers Association.

Listen to EarthNews Radio: Organic Consumers Association.

He said that most of the products in the marketplace are not organic in the same sense that consumers are used to food product being labelled as such. If you look at the labels of some of these products such as soap, you'll see that there may be petroleum-based or carcinogenic ingredients.

Cummins said that we need better organic certification standards for these products, or consumers will lose faith in the organic label.
