EarthNews Radio: Cotton
Is it possible to grow cotton in a clean and sustainable way, without the chemicals normally used in its production?
Jerry Kay spoke to Jurriaan Kamp, founder and Editor-in-Chief of Ode Magazine. Ode, which was started about 10 years ago, focuses on ideas that could change the world:
Kamp says that cotton is one of the most poisoned crops in our world, affecting both the wearer as well as the farmer growing it in the field.
He says that there are more sustainable ways to grow cotton, and that more and more companies are buying and selling the organically-grown version of the crop.
