The Beyond Organic one-hour radio show airs every Wednesday at 10 a.m. (PST), reaching thousands of listeners across North America via traditional radio stations, satellite radio, webcasting and podcasting.
I started the Beyond Organic show in 1999, in an old converted hay barn in Point Reyes Station, on KWMR 90.5 FM community radio as one of 100+volunteer programmers. My goal then, as now, was to connect listeners with the pioneers on the environmental movement, in a dialog that gets to the heart of what it means to be part of a vibrant and interconnected community.
Today, our team features our incredible host, Jerry Kay -- a veteran broadcaster and environmental media pioneer; producer Nathan Beers; Jon Bendiner, our webmaster and online content editor; and Diana Nankin, the designer who created our Cabbage Head logo!
In 2006, listen for short 90-second "Beyond Organic Insights" on radio stations across the country, remote broadcasts from interesting events, and expanded web-based content including articles and research resources related to show topics.
Thanks for your support and your feedback.
With warmest wishes for the increasingly sunlight-filled-post-Winter-Solstice days,
Michael Straus, Executive Producer
