Jerry Kay spoke with Brahm Amadi of People's Grocery:

Listen to EarthNews Radio: People's Grocery

Amadi says People's Grocery is a community-based organization that operates in West Oakland, California. He says that People's Grocery looks to fill the gaps in the food-delivery system, and that the organization wants to work around the barrier to access of healthy and affordable food.

People's Grocery tries to address the problem from a social justice and human rights perspective -- that people have a right to affordable food regardless of their racial or economic background.
