Zykowski says that since consumers don't get to set energy policy, they can use their spending dollars to support renewable energy. Our Energy uses online shopping to do this.
A percentage of what you spend online at participating merchants goes to support renewable energy project. More than 700 merchants are represented offering a wide range of projects and services. For instance, if you bought plane tickets online through the service, that might offset for example, 1000 miles of driving in energy use by supporting projects that create renewable energy.
